The quality procedure



On June 2006, Sète's tourist office qualified for N.F Service Certification, certified by AFNOR CERTIFICATION in accordance with the stardard NF X 50-730.

This logo guarantees best quality services to our visitors.
In France, only about 60 tourist offices have obtained this quality label, proof of their efficiency.

In order to be certified in 2006, and to obtain a fourth star, we have introduced an AFNOR-based quality control procedure which consists in

a reference book, called "Manuel Qualité" summmarizing the different working procedures necessary to offer a better quality service to visitors.

A control committee or "Comité Qualité local" in charge of giving advice. Its members work in the tourism industry.

Our choice of Quality: improve tourists' reception and information


We are dedicated to the following quality targets :

An easier access to information in the tourist office, in Sète hotels and furnished lettings.

Be both efficient and nice on the phone and at the reception desk.

Offer extra information if required and services such as change, booking of concert tickets and souvenir shop.

Continously train our staff.

Get "NF Service" certified, which is proof of excellent quality services in the tourism industry.

From now on, to reach these targets, suitable changes have been made such as:

The tourist office premises have been extended (reception hall...) so a larger public (130 000 visitors) gets a better and easier access to our documentation.

At the town entrances, two additional branches of the tourist office are open in July and August.

The main tourist Office is now open every day except New Year's Day and Christmas day. Moreover, as the opening hours have been extended, staff has been reinforced and is better trained.

Hotels are regularly supplied with brochures.

Our website has been created in 2003 and in 2005, 305 000 visitors were connected.
New brochures - a practical guide and a magazine - are issued every year.
