 Sète, "Little Venice of Languedoc"

With its typical districts crossed by
canals, which reflect the colorful facades of houses, Sete is a seaside resort and a town of 40000 inhabitants, active in all seasons.

A fishing port in the town centre

Our fishing port is in the centre of the town, the flotilla of trawlers and tuna boats is moored along the quays.

Discover Sète's gastronomy, with fish of the Mediterranean and shellfish from the Thau lagoon, in the restaurants along the quays.

A festive town...

Discover traditional events in summer : the feasts of Saint Pierre and Saint Louis, as well as music festivals: "Jazz in Sète", "When I think of Fernande" (French music), "Fiesta Sète"...

Twelve km of fine sandy beaches

Whatever you prefer : lying lazily on a beach mattress, enjoying life playing beach games, or just having fun with friends at the beach bars and restaurants.

Gastronomy

There is an impressive choice of specialities to taste like "bourride", mussels and stuffed squid, cuttlefish, "tielle", oysters and sea food...

Water jousts since 1666...

Water jousts are linked to the creation of Sete. The first tournament was held when the port was founded on July 29th, 1666.
