Beaches

Sète's twelve km of fine sandy beaches offer you happy sun bathing, beach games and bathing. You can also enjoy its beach bars and restaurants with friends.

 

The Lazaret beach and Corniche beach are the nearest from the city center.

The Villeroy beach has several beach bars and extends to Marseillan-Plage.

These beaches have been recently been widened by about 100 meters and offer an exceptional view on the sea.

The 12 km sea shore stretches nearly as far as Marseillan Plage.

You can lie in the sun, just behind fine sand dunes held back by wooden stakes.

Free car-parks and turning points are available on the national road n°112 so you can easily find a place to stop.


Play on the beach

The Lazaret Beach is named after the holiday center "Le Lazaret", located nearby.

This sheltered beach, protected by sea walls, enables toddlers safely to paddle around in shallow water.

This beach is near the city centre, by bus or on foot for those who like walking along the coast...

The Corniche beach was made famous by one of Georges Brassens'songs in which he indicated he wanted to be buried on this beach.
